In respect to group bookings, the person responsible for said booking will ensure that the House Rules are acknowledged and adhered to by all members of their party. Photography, film and audio recording of any kind is strictly prohibited, unless otherwise notified. Any devices used for such activity may be confiscated at the ticket holder’s own risk. Latecomers may be refused admission or asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance before being admitted to the auditorium. The Brookside Theatre is a no smoking venue. Entry and re-entry are by ticket only. Under no circumstances may food or drink purchased from outside outlets be consumed in the venue. Verbal and/or physical aggression towards staff will result in refusal of entry or requirement to leave. Patrons are asked to refrain from prohibited behaviour in the venue. This can include: shouting, swearing, talking through the performance and any other behaviours which could, in the reasonable opinion of the Management, constitute a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to other customers and/or staff. Mobile phones and other electronic equipment must be silenced before entering the auditorium. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted in to the theatre unless stated on the event listing. At no time do we allow children to be seated on an adult’s lap or babes in arms. All persons aged under 16 must be accompanied and sat next to the accompanying adult. They may not sit on their own within the auditorium and if found to have separate seats, entry may be refused. The Brookside Theatre and any third parties authorised by the theatre may carry out general filming and sound recording in or about the venue. By purchasing tickets, you consent to you and your party being included in and to the commercial exploitation of such films and recordings without payment. Please note that strobe lighting, smoke effects and gunshots are sometimes used in productions. Should you experience any problem while visiting the Brookside Theatre, please ask any member of staff to alert the Duty Manager so that every effort can be made to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Refund protection is available for purchase at the time of booking and we recommend that you include this in order to obtain a full refund of the ticket price should you or anyone in your party be unable to attend a performance due to injury, illness or adverse weather. This product is sold on behalf of a company called Secure My Booking ( www.securemybook.com ) and the theatre does not deal with refunds directly. In the event that we are able to resell the ticket(s) we will deduct 10% of the total amount taken and issue a refund for the remaining balance. We reserve the right to make alterations to the advertised time, date, programme and cast as a result of circumstances beyond our control. If there is a material change to the content of the performance or the performance is cancelled, you may exchange your ticket(s) for an alternative performance of the same production up to the value of your ticket(s) (subject to availability). For the avoidance of doubt, we will not refund the cost of any other expenses incurred by you in connection with your theatre visit or that would be deemed a side effect of the main loss or damage, including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation expenses. Any monies paid to Booking Protect for Refund Protection is not refundable through the theatre. DATA PROTECTION Under the Data Protection Act and the Privacy Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. Personal data you give will be used exclusively for providing you with the information or service that you have requested. Once you have booked tickets with Brookside Theatre box office your details will be held on our database.
